The Bolles Sensory Learning MethodSM serves
as a highly beneficial adjunct to therapeutic goals
involving sensory integration and modulation, oral motor
development for improved speech and language, central
auditory processing and vestibular-ocular reflex training.
The distinct advantage of Sensory LearningSM
is its ability to provide simultaneous repetitive sensory
activation.
This system is non-cognitive, engaging children and
adults in an environment geared to optimizing sensory
integration and visual/auditory/kinetic processing.
This special environment allows relaxation while engaging
the brain, nervous and endocrine systems. It stimulates
neural pathways while enhancing communication between
the righ and left hemispheres of the brain.
The auditory, vestibular and visual stimulation blended
in the Sensory Learning system encourages integrated
perception. Each separate therapy has been studied and
validated by extensive independent clinical use and
documentation.
Sensory Learning has proven to be a clinically successful
intervention for developing learning abilities to their
full potential.
Supra-Modal perception is necessary to higher cortical
function and appropriate cognitive response.
The brain, due to its life-long neuroplasticity, is
continually reorganizing itself from the sensory input
it receives.
The Sensory Learning system provides the auditory,
visual and vestibular stimulation the brain needs to
repair itself.

The Process
An initial
consultation and and trial session is offered to persons
interested in pursuing this unique sensory educational
experience. When the decision is made to participate
in this Sensory Learning Program, it is for 30 days
of time-limited therapy. The first 12 days are in the
center and require one hour per day on a trocoidal table.
Light, sound and motion are combined for a totally integrated
Sensory Learning experience. The next 18 days may be
done at home with 20 minutes two times a day set aside
for light therapy. This provides a stabilization time
for the participant.
